Part-Time Marketing Coordinator
Location: Des Moines, IA (Hybrid)
Type: Part-time, Contract (with opportunity to grow into full-time)
Hours: ~15–25 hours/week to start (flexible)
About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time Marketing Coordinator to support the execution of marketing plans across multiple clients and initiatives. This role is hands-on and tactical. You’ll help turn strategy into action by creating content, managing campaigns, supporting events, and keeping marketing efforts moving forward. This is a great opportunity for someone with some marketing experience (or strong foundational skills) who wants to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time. The right person could grow this role into a full-time position.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with senior leadership and clients to execute marketing plans, including:
Marketing Execution & Support

Create and schedule social media posts

Monitor social channels and flag or respond to comments/messages

Assist with content creation (posts, basic graphics, ads, flyers, emails)

Help implement marketing plans and campaigns

Conduct competitor and market research

Assist with event planning, promotion, and follow-up
Campaign & Ad Support

Support Google Ads and paid social campaigns (setup, monitoring, reporting)

Help place ads and coordinate with vendors or platforms

Write, design and distribute emails
-
Track campaign performance and assist with optimization
Reporting & Organization

Pull and organize marketing reports (social, ads, website, campaigns)

Maintain marketing calendars and task lists

Help prepare client-facing updates or summaries
Client & Internal Support

Help schedule meetings and coordinate calendars
-
Support internal project management tasks
-
Keep marketing projects organized and moving forward
What We’re Looking For

Some experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
(Internships, freelance work, or 2–3 years experience all count) -
Strong organization and attention to detail

Comfortable learning new tools and platforms
-
Clear written communication skills
-
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Willingness to ask questions and learn on the job

Based in the West Des Moines area and open to a hybrid schedule
Nice to Have (But Not Required)

Experience with social media management tools

Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta Ads, or analytics tools

Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, etc.)

Experience supporting events or campaigns
